This SSL II pipe insulation targets commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and institutional properties with mechanical pipe systems. HVAC contractors, facility managers, and building engineers use it on chilled water lines, hot water supply pipes, steam lines, and refrigeration piping.
The yellow fiberglass core provides thermal resistance while the white ASJ Max facing acts as a vapor barrier. The aluminum foil scrim kraft construction resists moisture penetration and meets most commercial building codes for mechanical insulation.
Each section comes pre-formed to fit standard pipe sizes. Installation requires proper sealing of joints and facing overlaps to maintain the vapor barrier. The facing can be damaged by UV exposure, so it needs protective covering in outdoor applications.
