AttiCat Pink works in any attic space, from small ranch homes to large commercial buildings. The loosefill fiberglass blows into tight corners, around pipes, and over irregular joists where batt insulation cannot reach. Each bale covers specific square footage based on your target R-value.

This insulation meets all building codes for residential and commercial attic applications. It does not settle significantly over time and maintains its thermal performance for decades. The pink fiberglass is naturally fire-resistant and does not support mold growth.

Installation requires professional blowing equipment to achieve proper coverage and density. We bring the machine, hose, and safety equipment to your job site. The process typically takes 2-4 hours depending on attic size and access.

Maintenance is minimal once installed. Check annually for any settling in high-traffic areas near attic access points. Do not walk directly on the insulation as it will compress and lose effectiveness.

Key features

Common questions

house cold high energy bills insulation

Your heating bill doubled this winter. Some rooms are always cold. You can feel drafts but don't know where they're coming from.

Check your attic insulation first. Most heat loss happens through the roof. If you can see floor joists through the insulation, you need more. R-38 to R-60 blown insulation typically pays for itself in 2-3 years.

blown in attic insulation cost

Your attic has no insulation or very little. You got quotes for blown-in insulation but the prices vary a lot. You want to know what's reasonable.

Blown-in fiberglass costs $1.50-3.00 per square foot installed. Price depends on R-value needed and attic access. For a 1200 sq ft attic, expect $1800-3600 total. Cheaper quotes often mean lower R-value.

attic insulation contaminated with rodent droppings

Your attic insulation is contaminated with mouse or rat droppings. It smells terrible and you're worried about disease. You don't know if you can clean it or need to replace it all.

Don't try to clean contaminated insulation yourself. Rodent waste carries serious diseases like hantavirus. The safest approach is complete removal, sanitization of the attic space, and fresh insulation installation to current R-value codes.

attic insulation removal cost

Your attic insulation has been damaged — whether from pests, fire, water, or mold — and you need it removed and replaced. You want to know what it's going to cost before calling someone.

Costs vary depending on the cause and how much insulation is affected, but most jobs require full removal and sanitation before re-insulation. Removal runs $1–2 per sq ft, and replacement adds another $1.50–4 per sq ft depending on insulation type. For a typical 1,000–1,500 sq ft attic, expect to pay $3,000–$10,000 or more when sanitation is involved. Pest or fire damage usually means the most thorough cleanup. Call us for a free estimate — we'll walk you through exactly what your attic needs.

my attic has water damage

You had water damage in your attic — whether from a roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding — and now the insulation is wet, matted down, or moldy. You're not sure if it needs to come out or if it can dry on its own.

Wet attic insulation almost always needs to be fully removed. Once insulation gets saturated, it loses its effectiveness, traps moisture, and can quickly develop mold. We'll remove the damaged insulation, inspect and dry the attic space, and re-insulate to code so your home is protected and energy-efficient again.

adding insulation to old house worth it

Your house is 20+ years old with little insulation. You're wondering if it's worth upgrading now or if you should have done it when the house was built.

It's never too late to add insulation. Older houses often have the most to gain from upgrades. You can blow insulation into existing walls and add attic insulation anytime. Most projects pay for themselves within 3-5 years.

I worked with Kevin Con, their field specialist. Kevin talked to me over the phone for quite awhile to make sure that I had a good estimate and knowledge of the procedure. The team came out early and they were efficient in the processes. I would highly recommend them especially because they worked so closely with our roofing team to get the job done in one day.

I am just so happy. They came out on a Tuesday (the owner Steve and his son) and took a look and had a crew of 2 out for me the next day! They got there at 8:30 am and all was completed by 2:00. The follow up was excellent. I could just go on and on. I am very impressed and want to insulate everything NOW because they were so excellent!
